Cambodia Rice Federation (CRF) and Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the 3rd China International Import Expo (CIIE) project to promote the kingdom’s rice industry.

The MoU was signed by Song Saran, president of CRF, and Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited Phnom Penh Branch (BOC), represented by Liu Zheng.

“As the strategic partner of the 3rd CIIE, BOC acknowledges CRF as the important business association in Cambodia with advantages of having many corporate members,” Saran said.

He said it will actively introduce corporate members to BOC, having the intention to participate in the CIIE for CRF’s members getting opportunities in global trade and business expansions.

The MOU is the essential key principle to further facilitate the implementation of the 3rd CIIE project, in which both CRF and BOC have agreed to leverage on their respective strengths to further deepen the strategic partnership.

According to the announcement from CIIE, the 3rd CIIE will be held as scheduled from November 05 to 10, 2020, in Shanghai, China.

Saran said CRF expects to actively participate in this event as well as aim to promote Cambodia’s Rice Brand at the international stage and to seek for more business opportunities in the rice and related sectors from the event.
