Pailin Province continues efforts to build and strengthen its tourism sector through clean-up and development projects in the province. The provincial administration launched another clean-up in one of the province’s waterfall as part of the efforts.

Ban Srey Mom, Governor of Pailin, inspected the organization of order and beauty at Otavao Waterfall Natural Resort (Phnom Khiev Pailin) on June 26. The waterfall is located in Khlong Village, Otavao Commune, Pailin City, Pailin.

Otavao Waterfall Resort is the most famous natural resort in Pailin with up to nine levels of waterfall. To improve travel to and from the attraction, Pailin provincial authorities have completed the construction of a concrete road, more than three kilometres long to the waterfall from the national road.

Seeing the potential of eco-tourism and to enhance the beauty of Otavao Waterfall Natural Resort, Governor Srey Mom advised the youths of Pailin to cooperate with professional officers to organize public order, sanitation and improve infrastructure.

The provincial governor also requested all residents and tourists who come to visit the resorts in Pailin to clean up the environment by packing their waste properly and bringing it to the proper storage according to the rules.
