The Young Entrepreneurs Association of Cambodia (YEAC) held a virtual meeting on Friday themed  “A Guide to Small Medium Enterprise (SME) Business Registration”.

The  meeting featured a talk on ‘Compliance Dashboard and Online Registration’ by YEAC member relations officer Chhuon Madinay, who also participated in a presentation on the business registration process with executive manager Dara Sim, followed by a question and answer session responding to feedback from those in attendance.   The Q&A was hosted by YEAC programme coordinator Neang Sovatha.

According to YEAC, the consultation was designed to share information about the registration process for relevant business sectors, to address comments and feedback on the business registration process, and lastly, to form a team that could further discuss the process in consultation with the government.

YEAC was launched in September 2009 by a team of Cambodian young entrepreneurs from various sectors of businesses in Cambodia.

The YEAC is a volunteer-driven non-profit organisation whose mandate is to empower young entrepreneurs of Cambodia to enhance youth entrepreneurship and success of youth-owned businesses by creating a platform for networking, sharing, learning, and synergising business opportunities, thereby contributing to productive employment and economic development that build the next generation economy for Cambodia. A statement said: “Our passion for this existence is driven by a common belief that advancement of one country’s next-generation economy largely depends on the readiness of the next generation’s young professionals.”
