Singapore and Cambodia yesterday jointly inaugurated the Phnom Penh Logistics Complex project (PPLC) aimed at assisting the Kingdom’s logistics and chain infrastructure.

The project is part of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council’s Smart Growth Connect Initiative to support growth in the logistics industry and provide modernised solutions across member countries.

It was launched during a video conference meeting between Singapore’s Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister for Finance and National Development Indranee Rajah and Senior Minister and Minister of Public Works and Transport Sun Chanthol who is chair of the National Logistics Committee.

Participants at the meeting included YCH Group Executive Chairman Robert Yap, Infrastructure Asia Executive Director Seth Tan, representatives of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Council for Development of Cambodia as well as Singapore Ambassador to Cambodia Michael Tan and embassy officials.

The meeting was held in the anniversary month of the establishment of Singapore-Cambodia diplomatic relations.

It demonstrates Singapore’s commitment in providing extensive support, both from the public and the private sectors, to Cambodia.

YCH Group and Infrastructure Asia jointly aim to provide innovative solutions to assist the PPLC initiative.

Tan expressed his gratitude to Rajah and Chanthol for officiating the virtual meeting, as well as YCH and Infrastructure Asia for being part of the project to assist PPLC’s endeavours.

Founded in 1955, YCH group has vast expertise in the cargo transportation business. It also expanded operations to include supply chain and logistics services such as warehousing and freight management.

Today, YCH is considered Singapore’s largest home-grown logistics solutions and supply chain company.

Infrastructure Asia is a one-stop platform for information exchange and sharing of best practices in Asia, providing tailor-made solutions for institutions regarding project development, finance and more in Asia.
