The Digital Economy and Business Committee under the National Digital Economy and Society Council is in the process of formulating Cambodia’s Financial Technology Development Policy and will organise the National Consultation Workshop on “Policy and Direction of Cambodia’s Financial Technology” next week, on April 26-27.

AUN Pornmoniroth, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Finance, and Chairman of the Digital Economy and Business Committee will preside over the workshop to take place at Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh hotel, pointed out an announcement of the Ministry of Economy and Finance released today.

The participants, presenters, and panelists from relevant ministries and institutions, embassies, development partners, bank and non-bank financial institutions, associations, and financial technology companies will attend the workshop to share their knowledge and experiences and discuss on latest technology trends and challenges in Cambodia’s financial technology development, it added.

The workshop is aimed at collecting the inputs from stakeholders for drafting Cambodia’s FinTech development policy, enhancing the understanding of the current FinTech development and challenges in Cambodia, and exchanging ideas and insights among professionals to foster FinTech development in Cambodia, underlined the announcement.

The public can watch the live broadcast of the event on the Facebook page and Telegram channel of the Ministry of Economy and Finance. C. Nika – AKP
