Pleng by Smart, Cambodia’s only music streaming platform for original Khmer music, today announced the launch of Pleng Points, an exciting new loyalty programme that will reward music lovers who use the Pleng by Smart app.

This new rewards programme is available to all Pleng by Smart users in Cambodia. The reward points can be exchanged for exclusive merchandise including Pleng T-Shirts, hoodies, backpacks, wireless earphones, power banks as well as Pleng Pro digital subscriptions and offers.

Chief Executive Officer of Smart Axiata Thomas Hundt said “At Smart, we are committed to always innovate further and to provide exciting services to the users, prioritizing convenience and value for money. The Pleng Points rewards program is a fun and easy way to earn rewards while enjoying great music from top local and international artists on Pleng by Smart.”

After a user has logged in to their Pleng by Smart account using their phone number, Google or Apple account ID, they can earn Pleng Points by doing the following:

Logging in (one time only) – 400 points
Streaming any song – 50 points
Creating a playlist – 50 points
“Favorite” a playlist or song – 10 points
Sharing a song or playlist on Facebook – 50 points
Subscribing to Pleng Pro – 100 points
Opening the Pleng app on consecutive days – up to 280 points (seven consecutive days)

Pleng by Smart users can redeem their points at any time in the app and can pick up their reward items from any Smart Shop of their choice once they are notified the item is ready for collection.

Pleng by Smart was launched in 2019 following a complete rebrand and relaunch of Smart Music, Cambodia’s original music streaming platform. Pleng by Smart now has approximately 1.2 million active users who have enjoyed over 500 million music streams during the last 2 years.

“Pleng by Smart is a great platform promoting digital entertainment and supporting the rich local-music landscape. Over the years, we have championed Khmer original music and enabled artists reaching millions of music lovers,” Thomas added.

“In partnership with our digital media partners and local production house experts, Pleng by Smart will continue its unwavering support of local artists as well as inspire more young Cambodians to pursue their dreams in the music industry,” Thomas concluded.
